Career Colleges of Canada

Career College Association
Rebrand, Brand Identity + Art Direction

The National Association of Career Colleges is a not-for-profit organization, and has been the main organizing body for Canada’s regulated career colleges since 1896. They are looking to rename themselves under a new name, the Career Colleges of Canada. Having experience working in education spaces, I was chosen to provide the first pitch for their visual rebrand.

The goal of this rebrand was to be clean, modern, and with flourishes as minimal as possible. This was an exercise in creating strict monochrome branding, down to the UI elements on their proposed website redesign.

“CCC” is a very common abbreviation for companies. I proposed adding “of” to be a prominent feature of their branding. Not only does it help them stand out as a unique organization, but ccofc.ca is a currently available web domain.

Included in the pitch was a website rebrand. While every other page on the site follows the standard navigation UI at the top with a hero image, their homepage has a unique but intuitive layout. The left-aligned navigation UI was chosen to entice users, providing a unique experience to click through and find resources they’re looking for.

Learning, in all its forms, is something I hold highly and cherish deeply. Because of this, I’m glad to have been a part of their rebranding journey.
